Be Your Own DJ also offer the more traditional Mobile Disco service for an extremely competitive price, whether it is for a birthday, wedding, engagement or wedding anniversary.
At BYODJ, we find it annoying that almost every Mobile Disco supplier does not typically display prices, and this is where we are different! Other Mobile Disco suppliers argue that there are too many factors that have to be known before they can tell you a price, such as
- Duration of disco
- Number of people attending
- Location
- Any special requests
- Type of event
We agree that there are many important factors that need to be known to make the most of a disco, however we also believe that it is important for the customer to at least know a rough price. Therefore, we always display our typical prices for all mobile discos, as well as giving you an idea of what they would be used for!

A Typical Mobile Disco
Small
The small setup is ideal for a disco with up to 75 guests in a small function room or hall, and uses 2 speakers and a number of lighting effects on 2 stands
Medium
The medium setup is ideal for a disco with up to 150 guests in a medium-sized function room or hall. This setup uses a goalpost structure with integrated desk for the DJ booth, allowing a number of lighting effects to be attached. With the lighting effects higher up a larger part of the room can be illuminated with the lighting patterns. The medium system comprises of 4 speakers as well as a smoke machine (venue dependent)
Large
The large setup is ideal for a disco with over 150 guests in a large function room or hall. To ensure even sound coverage even at the back of the room, 4 high-powered speakers are used, with 2 of them placed on speaker stands at height. The lighting rig typically consists of a number of muli-cloured, multi-pattern lighting effects hung on a goalpost structure forming the DJ booth, as well as 2 bars of 4 coloured lights to ensure even coverage in a large room and 2 smoke machines (venue dependent). Also includes a wireless microphone ideal for any speeches or presentations during the event
Individual Quotes
Obviously, the actual price of the Mobile Disco will depend on your individual requirements and other factors. We generally find that prices only differ a small amount from those listed above, and this is the reason we are able to give a standard price. As with all our bookings, we require a 20% deposit before the event.
